Our mission is to provide top-quality care and create a safe, engaging environment to develop and retain a skilled team for superior patient care. In consideration of team wellbeing, mental health, and long-term career sustainability, the following behaviors are not permitted.
Best Pets Veterinary Hospital enforces a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding abusive behavior toward team members. Clients or potential clients who engage in the behaviors outlined below will no longer be provided services at our practice.
We recognize that emotions can run high. However, our commitment is to provide the highest level of care and compassion for patients and clients, and we expect the same courtesy and respect in return.
Prohibited behaviors include, but are not limited to:
- Angry outbursts or yelling directed at any member of our team.
- Speaking in a demeaning, dismissive, or rude manner.
- Use of vulgar language, including insults, inappropriate jokes, or stories.
- Disrespect toward team members based on physical appearance, race, or gender.
- Accusations that our team does not care about a pet or prioritizes finances over patient health or safety.
- Unrealistic expectations of care after being informed of availability and medical limitations.
- Threats of harm, property damage, or reputational harm to intimidate or coerce staff.
- Allowing pets off leash, except when inside exam rooms.
