Meet Our Team

Dr. Tapscott used her passion for animals to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Cornell University then received her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.

Dr. Melissa Bartlett was born and raised in Central Indiana, where she developed her passion for caring for animals of all sizes including horses and cattle.

Dr. Sarah Povilauskas was born and raised on Long Island, NY. Her passion to support and grow the human animal bond is what she enjoys the most about her profession.

Dr. Yaritza Gomez is the most recent Veterinarian to join Best Pet Vets and grew up in Boston. She started college as a nursing major and shadowed different human medicine specialties.

Almost two decades ago Corrie found herself in her first veterinary hospital as an employee at the Front Desk. She fell in love with the environment, the caring team of nurses and doctors, all the pet parents, and of course all the cute patients.

Erica is our Head Technician supervising, training, and overseeing our enthusiastic and committed staff.

Blair joined our team after attending and receiving her BS in Zoology and a minor in pre veterinary Animal Science from the University of Maine and she still enjoys black bear country.

Holly is a graduate of UMass Lowell with a BS in Biology. Since 2016, she has been working at a local dog rescue that facilitates the transfer of homeless and surrendered dogs to new caring homes.

Alaina graduated from the two-year veterinary technology program at North Shore Community College. She also passed the Veterinary Technicians National Examination and is now a CVT.

As a child, Olivia watched her family dog struggle with kidney disease and wished she could do more to help. That experience sparked her determination to pursue veterinary medicine so she could ensure other animals receive the care they need.

Liane has 20 years of experience in the animal industry and started at Best Pets in 2018. Her passion for animals started at a young age, she acquired her first job at 14 years old cleaning kennels at a dog and cat boarding facility and grew from there.

Dakota has been a veterinary technician since 2019. She attended the University of Tampa for Biology. She is dedicated to being a voice for animals and her career as a vet tech has been both challenging and fulfilling.
