Meet Our Team

Dr. Tapscott used her passion for animals to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Cornell University then received her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.

Dr. Melissa Bartlett was born and raised in Central Indiana, where she developed her passion for caring for animals of all sizes including horses and cattle.

Dr. Daniel Doran was born and raised in Troy, NY, and has always had a passion for animals and science. He attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, and graduated with a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2017.

Dr. J is our part-time veterinarian. She has undergraduate degrees from MIT and after getting her DVM from Purdue University, she completed a one year internship in medicine and surgery.

Dr. Medcraft is a part-time veterinarian here at Best Pets. A native of the Midwest, he pursued his interests in science and animals by obtaining B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology followed by his D.V.M. degree from Purdue University.

Almost two decades ago Corrie found herself in her first veterinary hospital as an employee at the Front Desk. She fell in love with the environment, the caring team of nurses and doctors, all the pet parents, and of course all the cute patients.

Erica is our Head Technician supervising, training, and overseeing our enthusiastic and committed staff.

Blair joined our team after attending and receiving her BS in Zoology and a minor in pre veterinary Animal Science from the University of Maine and she still enjoys black bear country.

Liane has 20 years of experience in the animal industry and started at Best Pets in 2018. Her passion for animals started at a young age, she acquired her first job at 14 years old cleaning kennels at a dog and cat boarding facility and grew from there.

Kelsey is a graduate of Salem State University with a BS in Marine Biology. She has loved animals all her life but has spent most of her time with cats.

Sam has been working in the animal services field since 2010 and has three years experience in Veterinary Client Services.

Mia joined our team while still finishing her degree in veterinary technology at UMass Amherst, Mount Ida Campus.
