Meaghan

Meaghan has been working in general practice veterinary medicine since 2022 and joined the team at Best Pets as a veterinary assistant in May 2025. Her journey in animal care began in 2019 at a dog daycare on the North Shore, followed by several years as a dog walker in Boston’s South End. These early experiences confirmed that caring for animals is truly where she belongs.

After high school, Meaghan attended UMass Boston as a psychology major. However, once she began working hands-on with dogs, she quickly realized her true passion was caring for small animals and supporting the people who love them.

Meaghan chose veterinary medicine because she believes it is so important to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Providing compassionate care not only to her patients but also to their families is incredibly meaningful to her. She is excited to share that she plans to return to school in the near future to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT).

At home, Meaghan has a yellow Labrador named Kipper, who joined her family in the summer of 2023 at six months old and keeps life fun and active.

When she’s not at work, Meaghan enjoys taking Kipper on long walks, cooking new recipes, painting, discovering new music for her playlists, and traveling with her boyfriend. She is also a passionate music lover — she enjoys attending live shows, playing the saxophone, and dancing (ballet, tap, lyrical — you name it!).
